Re: San Diego viewing spots

There is a small official viewing area, on the south side of the airport off North Harbor Drive, which is direclty across the road from the USCG base. The viewing area has space for around 10 cars.

Re: Vigilants

There were 16 in total. Their Identities are identified, according to ukserials.com and can be found in the Fighter Control link noted above by Mike.

In addition, another four (currently unidentified) arrived 6 March to make a total of 20.

I saw it there as well (Aero Expo). I have it down (as do Air Britain's photos website) as an Urban Air UFM-10 XXL Samba, but I have never found a c/n for it.

Re: Enstone 8 June 2023

Pete,

Many thanks, but I don't think it was this one. The fuselage was a much darker blue, probably Navy blue and it didn't have the yellow fin and multi-coloured rudder (from what I recall).

Kind regards

Enstone 8 June 2023

Does anyone know the identity of the overall dark blue Stearman, noted here on this date please? It was complete and in the restoration hangar with no discernable markings (I could only get a quick peek from the door, there was no-one here to ask for permission to enter......).

Sorry - only just seen this. ADSB Exchange has a neat replay website, and shows Casa 295s 16703 and 16706 flying around the Lisbon harbour/River Tejo estuary area at that time:

Re: Midlands Air Festival

Thanks Craig, glad the lightning strikes didn't do more damage. Avanti Gas's website gives quite a lot of publicity to their sponsorship of both their emplyee Steve Chatfield, who owns and operates the balloon, and to their supply of LPG to balloon events, but without ever showing a picture of their...

Re: Midlands Air Festival

Nice images.

One of the balloons inflated for Friday's night glow was marked "G-REGO" (yellow and white standard shape, full size i.e. not a model, sponsorted by Avanti Gas) which is not listed on the CAA G-INFO register ebsite. Any idea of the true identity of this balloon?

Re: Biggin Hill 13 Feb:

Thanks Bob - unusual reg (not the San Marino bit!).

Looks as if it is brand new (c/n 6162 according to the LAAS bizjet database on line) and may well have been on delivery.

Stay safe yourself too.

Biggin Hill 13 Feb:

Does any one know the registration of the aircraft that arrived during the morning of Sat 13 Feb, using hexcode [500217] which should make it T7- reg please?

Saw it inbound over Compton, but can't find a registration on-line to go with that hexcode.

Many thanks.

Re: Visit 15/04/2019

Things move around quite quickly here. As of yesterday, changes to Maltatripper's list were: Belfast apron/scrapping area (I'm not sure where one ends and the other one starts!) EZ-A107 is now here, and B-6177 has lost its cockpit, otherwise all other aircraft as per 15th April. Chevron's apron held...

Re: PC12 LX-JFD or LX-JFF?

Thanks Martin, another twist to the saga!

Edit - LX-JFE also is not on the official Luxembourg register so it looks to me like a mis-paint by Pilatus or a cancelled/delayed order from Jetfly.

Re: October 2018

Andy, Also sad to hear of your decision. I only visit occasionally, but almost always have been able to tie up aircraft where I have only been able to see half the registration, so thank you for all your efforts over the years. I too remember the good old days when you could walk around - I particul...

Re: PC12 LX-JFD or LX-JFF?

Three months on from my original query and LX-JFF is still not on the official Luxembourg register, I have still not picked it up on my ADSB system and it has not been logged in e.g. the Planefinder.net database. Pilatus have delivered aircraft up to c/n 1827, so c/n 1789 should have been in use for...

Martin,

Makes sense, and many thanks. Presumably 'FF is newly registered, and will appear in the August download of the register from the Luxembourg authorities.

PC12 LX-JFD or LX-JFF?

There is a small thread running on the LAAS e-group querying the identity of the newest Jetfly PC12 - is it LX-JFD or LX-JFF? There are lots of recordings in the last 5 weeks or so of LX-JFF (reported as c/n 1789 and hex code 4D02BD). However these all seem to be observations taken from ADSB systems...

Re: June 2017

Andy,

Going back to the 2nd, I noted the French Mooney as F-GPHF, which is also a M20J.

The search and replay functions on Planefinder.net show 'HF as inbound just after 7pm on the 1st, and out a.m. on the 3rd.

Kind regards
