Belgian 'short' trip.

Hi A little explanation first. The wife is an history person mainly WW1 with some WW2. She wanted to go to the nightly (yes EVERY night) ceremony at the Menin gate in Ieper (Ypres, Belgium) honouring the (mainly) British soldiers that fell in WW1. On this trip I wanted to visit Moorsele & Wevelgem, ...

Re: Bavaria 22 June 2014

Hi Garry Glad to help. 'Problem with me is I've hardly ever seen gliders as we don't have them locally and so they all tend to look similar to me making research that much harder.' I am much the same, though VERY SLOWLY improving, I just 'acquired' the info from Air Britain's 'European Registers Han...

Re: Proposed changes to photography military photo rules

Hello Kyle Sorry that explains merely that the operators (presumably the same people) of all 3 sites, are posting the same 'Aero Resource' articles on all 3 sites. Aero Resource as your snippet informs us , doesn't differentiate between 'civil' and 'military', which is fine, I don't use it for exact...

Re: Proposed changes to photography military photo rules

Afternoon
I trust having come to a reasonable decision, you are now going to apply the same rule to the Aero Resource articles.
7 (minimum) out of the last 10 articles have been blatant military reports, not having read them I can't say if there was 10% civil content or not.

Re: Log Phalsburg airshow and bits 06-2014

Hi
Should this not be in 'France' ?, Phalsbourg is.
You seem to have covered a lot of ground and not many airfields, or were there several military fields you did not list ?
Have fun

Courtroom drama

A seven year old boy was at the centre of a courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with the child custody law and regulations...

Re: Le Bourget

Hi Rich I had already seen HZ 102, and HZ 101, in both incarnations (they swapped regi's for some reason best known to the Saudi's). VR C and VP C both used to be quite frequently seen , but VR-C less so these days. Saying that the newer registers of convenience ( T7 , M and now 2) are eating into t...

Le Bourget

Morning Theoretically I have retired but occasionally odd jobs require my expertise :P Sunday 18th June, a computer disc needed to go to Chanel in Paris, I got sequestered, so the morning of Monday 19th saw me milling around Le Bourget (it was a 9 am Monday delivery ) Le Bourget 19.6.14 Reg , Type ,...

Re: Cessna P210

Hi The Cessna's without the brace from fuselage to wings are known a s 'cantilever' This seems to be a recent conversion to turbine as the FAA register entry shows the engine as reciprocatiing i.e. piston. Most Cessna turbine conversions are for parachuting use, so not pressurised, as the 'P' and ro...

Re: Proposed changes to photography military photo rules

Hi Andrew, Have a look at the banner across the top of the page...CIVILIAN AVIATION, there should be no mention of military, there are plenty of dedicated sites for them. Home to the civil aviation enthusiast, there should be no mention of military here either.... Perhaps you can't see the civil woo...

Re: PH-LNH Maybe last Movement ?

Hi Fokkers are usually stored/dismantled at either Maastrict or Woensdrecht, but if KL/an affiliate are starting up it may well be at Norwich. Seems crazy to me there are old propliners still trundling around in South America and they are breaking 15 year old a/c for parts in the deserts of the U.S....

Re: Proposed changes to photography military photo rules

Hi I am back again........ Some opinions first........ If you wanted to know how to make the site more user friendly, then that was what you should have asked. You are asking should you allow people to post pics of military aircraft, doesn't matter how you word it, that is what you have asked... WHY...

Thanks for the thought JB, but I'm afraid the RME really isn't in the same league, 1.5 or 2.5 can't tell the difference myself. Last part, you will be glad to hear. Photo's apparently I didn't take any after Hahnweide, so you get none instead of a few  From Hahnweide we drove north with the intention of a full day at Frankfurt again, but I couldn't resist a diversion to Egelsbach yet AGAIN, 10 OUT. A full day at the lay...
