Question: I work for a automotive company, as a delivery driver, and have just been furlough. The company as a larger business has another same type of company, which also furlough some of its workers. Its come to my attention that those who are left, on the other company, may be used to help fill M...

Re: Coronavirus pandemic and how is it affecting you?

Next question. As the pandemic grows, our government says stay at home. And also says which type of key companies are needed to stay open or work from home if you can. The list of Companies are very vague. Lets see, My job is delivering automotive parts to garages, which some are still open, is My c...

Re: Don't ignore the symptoms

Yes wise words Peter. Too many men think they are captain Scarlet, and indestructible. Stick their heads in the sand, and ignore the signs of heart and cancer symptoms. Check ourselves and stay well, even more so with this virus. Follow the advise by the government and stay well. :thumb: Stay well P...

Re: Coronavirus pandemic and how is it affecting you?

OK. How long before a curfew is put on, were we ONLY travel to work and home again, and only if needed?. Police walking the streets and arresting people who break the curfew. Kids staying In their homes and not paying out. Shops only open for a certain amount of time, and police to stop people panic...

Re: Camera on a budget

Yep each to His/Her own. Nikon / Cannon. I just like Nikon, and just seems right for Me. The old nikon AF lenses will still fit the D200, and work, as will the new ones. Were as the new G lenses will not on the D200.

Manchester aviation viewing area

I am very disappointing that the shuttle bus has stopped from the airport to the viewing area. I visited the airport today after a two year absents, only to be told that the bus to the viewing area had stopped. So advised to take a bus to the cargo terminal, and walk. After walking to the view...

Camera on a budget

With Cameras (DSLR) costing lots of cash new and with not a lot of dosh, what do you do? Yes second hand dslrs, with lenses or just bodies. Two ways you can do this is by camera shops or internet. If you go down the internet route, it is Ebay. Problem with this you must have a bit of knowledge of ca...

Is CB coming back?

In the days before android and I phones, and maybe before Nokia 3310 (original phone), there was a communication thing called CB Radio, (Citizen Band Radio). This operated on 27 MHZ to 28 MHZ band and for public use. It was a two way radio for car, trucks and homebase use, made popular in the USA, t...

I have taken the camera and My 300mm lens to the local Nikon dealer. Mark the owner of the shop had a look at both the camera and lenses, inclu...

Re: Manchester Monday 23rd and Thursday 26th Oct

Nice set Mark.
I keep promising myself a trip across to Manchester Airport, when I get the chance. Make a day of it and come across on the trans pennine train from grimsby. Never been, so would a 300mm lens be ok for these type of shots?.

Re: Doncaster Airport

Hi Andy. I am new to Flickr. and not quiet sure how to use it. I usually use photobucket but thought I would try Flickr for a change. I am not happy with the set of photos at the moment as they seem to be not sharp enough. I think My sensor on the camera needs cleaning. Maybe it could be the lens as...
