Bristol Airport 02/01/2016 in varying weather

Hi all, Took a chance on the weather at EGGD today, was forecast bad, which was correct in the main, but did get a brief window of sun. Nothing too exciting content-wise here, just a little different conditions. Austrian Airlines A320 departing in heavy rain. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1715/2349...

Bristol Airport (Not EZY or RYR) 06/07

A couple of new flights have commenced at Bristol Airport in the last week, SAS 737 from/to Stockholm & Wizz Air from/to Katowice. Makes a nice change from the ususal easyJet & Ryanair colours that are prominent. Plus a nice bonus in the form of a Welcome Air Do328 as well. https://c1.staticflickr.c...

I was chatting to a taxi driver a few years ago at kemble who was waiting for the arrival of an A340 I think it was, to take the crew straight back to Heathrow.

Re: Bristol Airport 01/02/2015

Thanks Andy,

Its nice at the moment as we have a few ski flights so they break up the easyJet & Ryanair monotony & provide a bit of variety, plus always get a few biz-jet visitors.

Bristol Airport 01/02/2015

I still consider this my local airport, even though now I live equal distance between here and Kemble, so headed over today as the Germania due was a different aircraft for a change. Glad I made the trip as the sun came out at the right time, after the snow showers had passed. Germania A319 https://...

Cotswold Airport (Kemble) 31/01/2015

Today I decided to head the 40 mins East rather than west to head to Kemble to catch up on the more recent arrivals for ASI. Had the nice couple of bonuses on view as well as the stored stuff. Snowy Bristol Airport 17/01/2015

The prospect of seeing an unusual visitor drew me out into the cold on Saturday morning, finally arriving after my car couldnt get up a short hill at Winters Lane (appropriately named) & having to be pushed,to find the airport closed due to the amount of snow that had fallen in a short space of time...

Re: Bristol Airport in days gone by...

Thanks all for the comments. I have plenty of photos & slides from Bristol going back so will get more on soon.

Neil, The Brymon DHC7 was painted in the scheme as it was working on an oil contract I think from Aberdeen.

I've been scanning some of my older photographs and slides from what has always been my local airport. Here are a few random ones from various years. 5 July 1986 https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5607/15751118192_bd1bf74978_b.jpg YU-AKR Boeing 727 by -Gary J Morris- https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3952/...

Could still be a TOM 757 I reckon as B75W code is for 757 with winglets. Anyway as Neil says, it's a wait & see.

Thanks Neil, it was a bit too early for me as I have to now come across town from where I live. I think only 1 person made it up for the Jet2.
