Re: The BOAC Thread
As I stands I "only" have these, of the final touchdown of the final BA 747. I'm sure somewhere in a box is a slide of something, perhaps a 747-2, with the BOAC tail logo at the least. I'll have to go crate digging at some point! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50707165201_e8344fb78a_h.jpg Briti...

Heathrow 19/4/25
Afternoon all, Treated myself to a birthday trip to Heathrow recently. A full day on the mounds by T5 with a picnic bought from the M&S in the terminal. Just nice to sit and do nothing for a full day, not many things in life can give you this these days. Been a couple of years since I got to spend a...

Re: Duxford airliners 27-03-2025
Lovely set this.
I've never been to Duxford and didn't realise there was quite that much on the airliner row outside. Agree that the comet looks magnificent.
Will have to earmark a trip in the autumn when the light is less harsh and the heat haze is gone!

New Zealand November 2024
Afternoon all, Finally got round to editing most of the bits I caught on a non-aviation trip to New Zealand. Was allowed a day at Auckland which was ultimately very hot and hazy, the rest are just grabbed through fences and airport windows as and when. Enjoy. Firstly the locals. I enjoyed hunting th...

It's not often you seem to get a sunny aerozone day, lovely stuff!
I like the amount of "big biz" Stansted gets, and that 757 is a corker, not one I've seen before - any more info on it?

Lovely bit of colour to break up the clag. Sky Alps is something different, are they regular for you or a sports charter?

a few New Zealand museum pieces
Hi all, Managed to persuade the wife to let me visit some of the museums in New Zealand on our trip. Here's a couple for now. Will add to this post as I get through them. Auckland War Memorial Museum. Also has a Spitfire present but I'd never seen a Zeke before so focused on that in an otherwise ver...

New Zealand G.A.
Hi all, A once in a lifetime trip to New Zealand for a month long road trip from top to bottom was incredible. I dropped into as many airports as I could along the way, though this was in now way a spotting trip. This is a selection of some of the general aviation I managed along the way. Nelson htt...

Hi all, A bit of festive down time means some reflection on a year where I spent more time away from the local than I did at it. Nonetheless, here's a small selection of some of the visitors I did get into South Wales this year. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53784499888_946956aa7d_k.jpg G-ZBKR...

Warsaw/Yerevan trip 11/23
Hi all. A trip that was too good for me to resist, the primary purpose was to watch the Welsh football team play away to Armenia. When I say it was another good trip ruined by the football, well, many of you will know what I mean. Armenia not the easiest to access, but several connections via europe...

Hi all, After promising more regular posting the last time I posted, I log on to find it's been a over year since I posted images on here :( Time really does fly when you're having fun. It hasn't even been that busy at the locals, hence I can do a summary of the year gone in one post for both! So he...

Well, after a year away that's three posts in the space of a week with more to come. Like buses, the interesting movements locally have really started kicking up a notch to coincide with some nice autumnal light. On my previous post I mentioned the Bangkok A320 that arrived at Saints and evaded my l...

Agreed, lovely shot!
I think this scheme works much better on the Dash than it does on the 737Max

Interesting set that, looks like a fair spread of movements up there.
Particularly like the Sunwing spray shot and the night images.

Lovely stuff Andy, for some reason I especially like that Saudi 73, smart looking scheme. Korean 748 is a treat too, interesting choice of font on the "Korea" title?!
