Re: Daffodil Fly In: Fenland 13/4/19
Probably a reflection of the internal politics going on at the moment. Would agreed it's not good, but the previous post was trying to give an overview not an excuse. I'm on this side of the fence as an enthusiast and appreciate I get tolerated but always aware situation could change.

Re: Daffodil Fly In: Fenland 13/4/19
Fenland is my local. Being a regular and social member I do know there is a bit of a debate at the moment on access. There was a regrettable mishap at an event in August when a taxiing helicopter went down. Fortunately the rotors parted but didn't impact the nearby visitors line.It has seriously rai...

Re: Heathrow's Geriatric Jets
Very interesting. Testament to the engineering support of these airlines, especially when you read of Airbuses at 7 years being scrapped as it's more cost effective to reduce to spares than do the full due maintenance check.

Re: Newcastle - Friday 27/07/2018
I was up there begining of July and found a spot off the road near the cargo area. Road in said no unauthorized vehicles beyond this point, so duly paid and parked at a pub car park a couple of hundred yards away. Position and light were perfect for landing shots and not bothered until I was leaving...

Disappointing to get such varied interesting airlines and the light is against you. You have probably used dehaze, try adding some contrast and counteract Inthe basic panel take highlights down, white to the right past neutral and rack up the mid tones to the right. Counteracts the haze and introduc...

Rob some lovely variation and some good shots. Are you shooting raw? Even backlit you can pull out so much more with Lightroom or Photoshop camera raw.

Re: A night in the Premier Inn Heathrow
Popularity is due to the price. I stayed there in October £49.00, take the walkway to the Hilton a few hundred yards away and it was nearer £200.00. Competitive on price. Room was good, but it was new, hope they can maintain it with a high throughput.

Nice set, rain adds some atmosphere but not too good for the photo gear. Cherokee shot is really nice, bit of skill 600mm at 100th, well done
