Re: Bristol - Sat 20 April 2019

Lovely photos (I always enjoy looking at shots from that location at Bristol). Runway 09 was in use all day, though one EZY flight landed on 27, and did a 180 turn on the runway to get to its' stand. Anyone have an idea why this might have been?? If the wind was light (or virtually across the runway...

Re: Aircraft Long gone put good memories.

That's a fabulous collection. The Syrian Caravelle is probably my favourite. I've never collected slides (I have more than enough of my own photos, which I'm constantly adding to), but I can see the attraction of doing so.

Re: Daffodil Fly In: Fenland 13/4/19

There does seem to be an increase in restrictions at GA airfields over the past couple of years, and I know from various sources (e.g. the Flyer Forum) that a lot of it is driven by engine and avionics thefts. Obviously enthusiasts are not stealing them, but a thief could easily masquerade as one, a...

Re: Stansted 10-04-2019 a curtailed visit

What a shame, because as a spot for taxi shots it is clearly fantastic, looking at your shots above. The haze ruins the landing shots, except for the last one where I think it works to really enhance the picture.

I think I can guess what P.O.O.S. stands for!

Heathrow, October 2013

Some shots from Heathrow back in October 2013. Not that long ago, but some of these a/c certainly can't be seen now. Not many passenger A300s left in service, even in 2013: https://live.staticflickr.com/5501/10634400624_715fb67676_o.jpg Iran Air A300B4-605R by Nick Challoner , on Flickr https://live...

Re: Guernsey Airport 80's & 90's

Ooh, some really interesting a/c there, some of which I remember from that period. I love the older biz-jets - Sabreliners, Sterling Corvette and the Gulfstream II and III. And then there's Tom Walkinshaw's Starship, and it's not everyday you see a Mexican Aerostar!

Same to you pal!

Just one for now from our visit to the Stansted Aerozone yesterday morning, the first officer on this G550 had a little message for us:

Re: Concorde - 15 years after the final flight

I think the idea is that AB stays at Heathrow - because it's BA's home, and so many Concorde flights operated from there of course. However, I do think it's a shame it's not really on display. I suppose space is tight at Heathrow, and there's no single gate to have it guarding like at many military ...

Excellent shots, enhanced by the light and the backdrop you have there at Bristol.
