Heathrow in April

Spent a few hours at LHR in April whilst waiting for my flight to Washington :) Weather was dull and dreary, so nothing special....also shooting through the fence which was a bit of a pain. 1 http://mictheslik.zenfolio.com/img/s6/v147/p372297599.jpg 2 http://mictheslik.zenfolio.com/img/s6/v145/p1242...

Re: Old Liverpool Airport - Complete Airframe Collection

Forgot to add to the above: The hotel introduced a new ANPR parking system a few weeks ago. They've been having some teething problems with it, but it's now fully operational. The first half hour is free, but if you stay longer you need to go into the reception and be validated to avoid a fine. If v...

Great shots....wish I'd taken my SLR when I went there....especially as our Korean flight arrived at the opposite end of the terminal to our connection....had a 45 minute walk past all the exotica on the other gates!

How did you find the Korean Air food? :P

Re: KBOS and NYC over Easter

In terms of number of movements it's somewhere between Gatwick and Heathrow. The problem is the runway useage is pretty awkward so you can spend ages getting to a spot and then be miles away from any aircraft. Traffic is generally jetblue, the legacy american carriers and European long haul. Boston'...

Russian at Liverpool - 24th October

Good job Liverpool didn't have a great season last year....otherwise we wouldn't have seen this lovely Tu154 at the airport today. Bringing in Anzhi Makhachkala to play Liverpool in the Europa league. 1.Photo of a hawk...removed for CA 2 http://mictheslik.zenfolio.com/img/s1/v55/p1217715294.jpg 3 ht...

LAA Rally Sywell 2012

Well, what a weekend. Flew up from Corsham on the Friday and back on the Sunday in N257SA. Camped by the aircraft for two nights, and saw a large number of aircraft that I'd like to own. No definitive totals yet, but around 1200 aircraft are believed to have visited over the weekend. Saturday was ab...

Re: LAA Rally Sywell 31st August to 2nd of September

G-VICC is one of those a/c I seem to bump into everywhere :-) Saw her for the first time several years ago at Sturgate (looked like a resident), then a few weeks ago at Kemble and then she pops up at Sywell :) . Haha! I used to see it all the time....I think it's the distinctive colour :P I was in ...

Re: Korearing down the runway.....

Thanks guys :) Nice shots by the way. The rotating Korean, is that from 05L threshold/halfway down 05R? Yeah, a bit further than that. We went to the 05L lights as they were on 23R when we left T1 but then switched over just as we got there. Decided to walk down a bit as Neil only had a fixed 300mm,...

Korearing down the runway.....

A few from yesterday at Manchester.....too early for my liking, and the light was a bit rubbish. Still, pretty cool to see how to unload a T50 from a 747 1 http://mictheslik.zenfolio.com/img/s1/v47/p269918041.jpg 2 http://mictheslik.zenfolio.com/img/s2/v50/p533868599.jpg 3 http://mictheslik.zenfolio...
