Great picture of the Avanti, but just as well there is no sound with it!

G-LCAF, or at least its box, made an appearance at LCY a couple of days ago.

Any obvious pattern to the Ryanair 737Max arrivals at Stansted to make a visit worthwhile, please?

Re: AN-225 Farnborough 1990

Very nice! I remember that I was at Prestwick, about 15 years ago, at a very VERY boring meeting with the board of BAE Civilian Aircraft in the boardroom of the art-deco building that looks out onto the runway. We'd been at it for over 3 hours and I was beginning to lose the will to live....(the di...

Re: HEMS G-EHMS

I had to suspend play in a match I was refereeing, so that HEMS could land and the crew be picked up by police to go to a shout. I then had to suspend play again for her to depart. An 80 minute rugby match took over 100 minutes!

Re: Big Jet TV - good or bad?

Having read so much about him, I followed the link above and put up with his sniffing, repetitious inane waffling for a few minutes, then had to turn off. Some of the camera work is good, but that is all.

Nicely caught given the conditions. I had just finished playing the 13th hole at High Elms as they left, so saw and heard them both. Many more to come this way, hopefully!

Re: Caribbean Airlines over the UK in 2015?

They had 9Y-LHR and 9Y-LGW. The clue is in the registrations. Yes they were regular visitors to these shores, so your log is valid.

Re: Stansted airport - a guide for visiting aviation enthusiasts

Andy,

Do you know where the Laudamotion A320s are being parked. Are they visible whilst still socially distancing, and not invading no go areas?

thanks

Re: Heathrow night time landings, 27L 16-01-2020

I found the Dash 8 shot interesting. The prop blur and lighting look good, just a pity any zooming in doesn’t really work. Pity also that there are not more opportunities to experiment with turboprops in the dark.

Thanks Andy, I had asked (but not directly of you!) some months ago whether the cafe was still open and accessible. I didn’t get any positive responses, so good to know it is still going. yes it's still okay to go there but only directly there and directly back out. they won't look kindly on using t...

Re: red squirrels 04-05-2019

I haven’t seen a red squirrel since the 1970s in Switzerland, when they were tame enough to run up my trouser leg to take food from my hand. By the way, if you like a good tongue twister try the German word for squirrel Das Eichoenchen!
