Re: Extreme night panning and some sunshine at Edinburgh!
Thanks to everyone for the comments! :D I know how to get to the road that leads to the crash gate at Almondbank - but would I then walk to the left of the crash gate as I look at the runway in order to reach the area that is higher than the fence? Yes, either follow the fence line along for about 1...

Picked up my new shiny Nikon D600 from Ffordes Photographic up near Inverness on the Wednesday...straight down to Edinburgh Airport the following afternoon for a play! Heres a few from that afternoon/evening... One of the main reasons for staying late was to catch this at night... https://farm8.stat...

I think the only team from abroad we will be playing at Murrayfield is Italy although I heard that doesn't bring in as much as what the French do!

Someone went mad with the paint brush...'ZS-EOS'
A lot of time and effort has been spent on this heli, not as wacky but just as nice as the previous one!

"Volga 1890" An-124 Departs Prestwick @ 23:50!
After spending a fantastic afternoon airside at Prestwick for the DC-3, I took the gamble that one of the two Antonov's would move, so I set up camp in the car & went for a wee sleep. My gamble paid off and at no later than 23:50 she finally lined up on runway 30 and set for the sky bound for Venezu...

Re: Stacking 'em up at Edinburgh...
This is very impressive - how did you do it? Thanks Dan, I set the camera atop a tripod with a wide angle lens (18mm) & made sure it would not move during the image capture (30 mins in my case) I then took several photos of each aircraft as they passed the frame. Once the easy bit was out the way i...

Welcome (air) to Dundee {Nightshots}
A nice change from the Loganair painted Dorniers! A wee Austrian visitor to Dundee. Presumably the aircraft has been chartered over here as it arrived with an Austrian registered Citation. https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7362/13994056128_2c24dcab09_b.jpg Welcome Air D328-110 "OE-LIR" by TayportTT , o...

Only shame for me is the Brussels Airlines being the exotic plane of the group, hopefully this will improve overtime. GOOD WORK!!

Stacking 'em up at Edinburgh...
Something a little different with the normal aircraft, a spotting location overview of what you can see in 30 mins at Edinburgh. It sometimes pays to think outside the box, the irony of it was when I was scoffed at by someone sporting a large lens "Do you not have a bigger lens?" I showed them the 5...

{Nightshot} Flybe D328 'Dundee' special livery "G-BYMK"
Ex-Cityjet D328 looking fresh in her new Flybe paint. She will be used today for the new route connecting Dundee-London Stansted after the LCY route finished earlier in the day (29th March).
