Great shots, and some interesting aircraft too

I understand the Easyjet crews refer to the inverted livery A320 as "The Carrot" :D

Re: Birmingham 13th April

Thanks Steve. I haven't been up to that car park since the 1980s! I must go soon though - BHX gets aircraft we don't see around London, and it would be nice to photograph them on the ground, which can be tricky at London airports. Do you remember "the bank" at BHX over by the echo hold in the 1980s?...

Re: A few from the past

Oh my, look at all those lovely DC-8s, and beautifully scanned again too :thumb: Particularly nice to see ship #1, and the early variants with translating cowls. Lovely stuff.

Re: some oldies part five (BEA/BOAC/BA)

Ok, well I'm in my element here, fantastic shots! The old BEA stuff is particularly nice, especially the 1-11s and Vanguards. Look at the stuff in the background too - Iraqi Trident, Finnair Caravelle etc. Fabulous.

Great angles, the F100 looks especially mean. Are these taken from the top of the multi-storey on the old terminal side?

Great shots, lovely and sharp  The second Martinair MD-11 take-off shot, complete with smoke from the tail engine is probably my favourite.

Lovely shots. Do you have more shots of the Evergreen? It's a great livery.

Nice catch indeed. The livery doesn't go well with the piles of snow in the background though :D

Re: East Midlands Airport 1/4/2013

Great selection, especially as it looks very overcast. It's been a long time since I've been to EMA - and that looks like a really good spot for photography. Given the runway 09-27 markings, and we've had an easterly wind for weeks, I guess this spot is at the eastern end of the airfield - is it eas...

Another truly fantastic post. I love the Convairs. The EAAC VC10 is gorgeous ... and still in service with the RAF as ZA148.

Re: London City 25-3-13

Yes indeed, another great set. I love the shots of them just getting airborne. It's a shame you can't get a more height to the wheels etc are obscured by terrain. I suspect you'd be in trouble if you erected a big set of steps!
