Hi Snow Owl, The camera to buy is dependent on your budget really. As stated above there is a great choice out there but its what you prefer. I went for Canon DSLR due to having previously owned 35mm film and had the bigger lens already. I can personally vouch for Canon but its brand loyalty really....
