I never knew Grove grew floats in later life, had a lot of fun in the back seat in the eighties (that didn't come out right)

A couple of test reg Jetstreams

HMS Gannet Navy Day 1986 and BAe pulled out a couple of pre delivery Jetstream 31s. Neither had long flying lives indeed G-31-700/N331PX only lasted 18 months. A short history if you click through to Flickr. 1. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4757/25651860907_e812e46611_b.jpg ALAN_POTTS_19860607_0007...

About another week, assuming the weather doesn't cause too many lost days (Ha!)

Airlift Super Puma works the Queensferry Crossing.

Spotting a Norwegian Super Puma on FR24, clearly undertaking work at the soon to be opened (Wed 30th August) Queensferry Crossing over the River Forth, I gambled that it would still be there at the end of a 40 mile dash. Luckily it was and while showers passed all around I stayed dry and warm in the...

Swedish Coast Guard departs Edinburgh

An overnight stopper at Edinburgh en route to Norwich, this Swedish Coast Guard Dash-8 got airborne quickly in the very stiff (and cold) breeze, but thankfully the crew elected to keep it low for me. Re: Lufty 727 at Edinburgh 1983

Sadly not many Mike, most of what I shot there was in black and white so that I could send it in to Scottish Air News. I'll get round to some tridents and Loganair Shortboxes eventually.

Lufty 727 at Edinburgh 1983

Whilst sorting through non aviation negs over Xmas I came across this that had been overlooked previously. Scanned and popped onto Flickr yesterday, I was surprised (and chuffed) when I woke up this morning to see it on Explore. Sadly EDI's opservation deck closed in the mid eighties, it would be pe...

Washington National in June.

Two weeks in Washington in the middle of June gave me the opportunity to make a couple of brief stops at Washington National Airport between activities. Fortunately the volume of traffic meant I got plenty of action in the time available. The shots were taken from Dangerfield Island and the famous G...

Very good set from my local, Qatar & Jet Time look particularly good with the greenery.
You were a little unlucky with the charge - normally a " I'm just here for the planes" is enough to get you in.

Early summer Edinburgh.

Now that “summer” is here the north side of Edinburgh is back in business so a few post work visits have been in order. Here’s a selection of stuff that I shot. 1. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1637/26438535152_b0f41929e2_b.jpg ALAN_POTTS_20160418_MG_5894 by A POTTS , on Flickr 2. Bit of turbulence...
