Worth A Visit On A Sunday?

I was thinking of paying Kemble a visit earlier today with the kids and a picnic to see if any thing was flying. I thought against because I didn't think there would be much about. Am I right or wrong thinking that?

The old MK 747 also seem to hanging on too. Or what's left of them anyway. Is that the Midair Squadron Canberra and Hunter in the back ground?

Re: Anti bomb bags tested at kemble

Just seen it on the national news. Quite an impressive bomb resistance bag. As for the aircraft used it looks as if two maybe have been used. One with the bag and one with out. They only showed the outside of the one used with out the bag and the only marking on it was a black stripe down the side. ...

Re: Kembletown

First hear about this a couple of months ago. I've always thought it was a bit of an odd one. Although the airfield is classed as a brownfield site it is surrounded by green belt which will end up in directly effected. The roads to the site aren't the best. The Tetbury to Cirencester Road which runs...

Is this just a one off from the ex BA fleet or are there more to come?

BA Arrival?

I've been asked to find out if a BA aircraft made a stop at Lulsgate yesterday afternoon (13/12/14). Sorry that's all the information I was given. He seem quite sure it was BA.

Re: POTM / SPOTM voting discussion topic

One idea for the number votes each person has each month could change with the amount of entrance. As the months with a small amount of photos, 3 votes seems to be a lot. For example if you have only 5 or less photos entered for that month 1 vote. 5-10 photos 2 votes and more than 10 photos 3 votes....

Excellent set of photos. The YouTube video is also quite impressive.

Was this visit just a one off? Or are they going to be more regular now that Filton had closed?

Tristar?

Is there a Tristar at Kemble?

When I drove past the airfield on the Tetbury to Cirencester Road I'm sure I saw a Tristar in or near the scrapping area. Or was I seeing things?

Re: Air Ambulance and Police Helicopter

Thanks for the reply MikeB

Saw the site plan of what they hope to build in the local paper yesterday. I could see a area for the planned museum but not an area for the air ambulance and police helicopters.
