Re: Festive photos at Cardiff

Nice set Dave. I especially like the photo of EI-EHH, and good to see it back at Cardiff again! Before its recent repaint for the CityJet lease operation it was still possible to see where the Air Wales decals had been on the aircraft! Nice landing shot of G-BNWD too - although having had a very nic...

Re: Sunny Southend

Thanks andygolfer and PorkScratching for your comments, and I'm glad you are both also fans of the SkyWork Dornier too! The 328 is a great little aircraft.

Re: Edinburgh 2014 12 02

Super shots in lovely light. Really makes braving the cold worthwhile at this tome of year.

I especially like the photos of the turboprops and the Embraers. Very nicely done.

Sunny Southend

It has been a while since my last post, but here are some (relatively) recent photos from a sunny Southend. With a notable reduction in the frequency of interesting maintenance related movements, I have to take more of Southend's scheduled flights... At least there is a new airline at Southend, in t...

Re: Some NATO snippets, Cardiff, September 2/3/4

Nice to see some comprehensive coverage of the NATO movements at Cardiff.

The Slovak Government Tupolev is undoubtedly the highlight of the set for me. Excellent to see that still in service and hopefully it will carry on for a few more years yet!

Very well caught considering the circumstances.

A very nice aircraft indeed. I understand that the gold trim consists of real gold leaf - quite a livery!!

Super set as always Paul in good light.

AIr Dolomiti is always a nice catch. I flew with them this summer - a lovely small airline!

Re: Southend last week

Hello and very nice set of shots Dave from my native Southend! Glad you got nice and close to the action by the church - really quite a nice spo. Nice prop blur on your shot of EI-REM from around the other side. Glad you caught the recently expanded Jota fleet as well! As with the Flybe liveried ATR...

Jota Aviation's BAe 146 Arrives....

Here's a quick snap of Southend based charter operator Jota Aviation's 'new' BAe 146-200 arriving finally from Manston this afternoon. It joins a fleet of Kingairs and is interned to be used for charter flights. G-SMLA is no stranger to Southend, previously being G-OZRH with Flightline. https://farm...

Both were scrapped last month!

A shame to see the BAC 1-11 go after so long.

Re: Southend 21 July

The last 2 aircraft to be broken up at Southend were RJ100 G-CEBN and the old fire trainer BAC 1-11 (the former 5N-HHH).

I hope this helps!

A very nice set from Bristol.

I too like the Aurigny ATR photo - the revised scheme looks excellent.

Re: Evening Light at London City

Thanks all for the comments.

The light was everything in these shots, and just a shame there's only a couple of months of the year when the days are long enough to get photos of this from the dockside.

Evening Light at London City

I always like to pay a couple of visits to London City whilst the days are still long to get photos from the the Royal Albert Dock opposite the airport. It really is an excellent spot, with unobstructed views of the runway and the apron. Here are a selection of shots from a couple of visits, one day...

Re: Gatwick Saturday 26/07/14

A very nice set wiggy. Very colourful and you were lucky to catch a cloudless sky at this time of year.

Nice to catch the flynas A330 - I wonder how long that will be at Gatwick...

Thanks very much for posting.

Re: Southend - AeroMexico, Antonov and Others....

Thanks Paultojo for your comment. I was very pleased to see the AN-74 as Southend does not get many freight flights on aircraft larger than Metroliners. A very nice change!

Southend - AeroMexico, Antonov and Others....

Here's a few highlights from the last few weeks at Southend: G-EZBI was repainted at Southend and had a special William Shakespeare decal applied. Appropriately named 'Romeo Alpha Juliet'! https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3715/13470373734_d77ed4c381_b.jpg G-EZBI easyJet A319 at Southend EGMC by AeroPi...
