Was OK-MEL missing the entire tail or just the tailplane?.
Did you know that registration to Civilian Aviation is completely free and brings you lots of added features? Find out more....

Re: Visit 01/11/2020
Visited yesterday 04.11 - Czech Airlines OK-MEL is in hangar H2 with tail removed.
Sistership OK-NEN is listed as being re-registered as 2-ACSE, but not sure if this has been applied to the fuselage.
Couldn’t see the Jetstar - possibly moved.

Re: Visit 15/10/2020
:) Thanks Steve- The AFA site stated it was one of the ones at Kemble. Bob  Cheers Bob 👍 With so many rumours / hopes circulating about the BA Queens, it’s hard to keep up. I was just surfing FR24 yesterday and picked it up. It could be part of the latest rumour, although BA are (reportedly) ...

Bob :Wow: G-CIVZ positioned to Newquay from ex-storage at Cardiff on Sunday 18.10 More likely to be the one you...

Re: Large Passenger Jet Arrivals
Rumours are beggining to circulate about another two BA 747's due. Not sure how true though. Hearing the same. At the time when the current three BA airframes were flown in, there had been the intention to ferry five to Kemble (incl. G-CIVH plus one other, from LHR), although the local disruption c...

Re: Worth A Visit On A Sunday?
I was thinking of paying Kemble a visit earlier today with the kids and a picnic to see if any thing was flying. I thought against because I didn't think there would be much about. Am I right or wrong thinking that? Current as of today 12 July; Just be aware that the airfield central area is offici...

You should be able to drive into the airfield to go to the Tower/AV8 from this week Just be aware that the airfield central area is officially closed from 1700 Saturdays until 0900 Tuesdays. Don’t go on Sunday or Monday as the North Gate will be locked. The AV8 building is not open at all, but some...

Re: Visit 22/06/2020
Fantastic list as ever, thanks - great to read.
One addition will be exSAS B736. LN-RPG
It was in Hangar H2 during your visit, although by 25 June the B737 4L-TGN was in there.
I’m guessing that now the hangar work is done, LN-RPG will be around Belfast / scrap?

Initial post was for unknown time in June or July ‘17
SWAG clarify that ‘WY (Yankee) was broken up circa May 2017, with fuselage sections to Kemble 07/06/17.
The dates now tie up

Re: Kemble - unknown sections / cockpits in the scrapping area
The top two pics of the BA763 are that of G-BNWY. Scrapped at St Athan, the fuselage sections were roaded to Kemble in 06/07.17 for amalgamation with sections from the regular G-BNWS. Roaded out to unknown destinations over the following months. Above confirmed by SWAG (credit due) and some pics on ...

Looks like all reg / flag markings etc were overpainted in blue certainly by the 3rd August.
Also think the ex-Thai 777 should read N176GT
Thanks

Thanks MT The silkair A320 in the scrap area is 9V-SLI The biz jet fuselage on the Belfast should be the remains of Jetstar. HB-JGK. This arrived by road from Geneva on July 7th. The red/white A320 outside ASI is the recently arrived (24th July) ex-Philippine RP-C8994. Not sure if it still wears thi...

Re: LOG: Kemble 22/4/17
If it helps with the ex-Jet2 airframes, there are currently five on the field. Airframes have been moving around a lot in recent days, so I can't be too accurate on precise positions, other than their general locations. The first Jet2 airframe from the most recent batch (G-CELD), has long since been...

Looking across from the A429, the B747-400 is on the right, with the B777-200's next to it.
Which B777-200 is which.
MTIA
N175GT is on the left of the trio, with N176GT in the middle. Both frames are engineless.

Thanks for a great report MT
To complete your listing for the Chevron Apron:
HZ-AIY. B744 Saudia
N176GT. B772. Thai
N175GT. B772. Thai. (US Registrations crudely applied, with the ex-HS registrations roughly taped over, with some characters still partly visible)

Re: East Midlands 19/10/1974 Channel Airways Viscount
If it appeared stored / derelict, then it was most likely G-ATUE. I'm almost certain that it was the only Channel Airways Viscount not scrapped at Southend. It was certainly in a derelict state at EMA in August 1976, so is likely the one you're after. If it was active on that date, then ............?

The last unidentified Jet2 in Mark's great report is G-CELP , which arrived during mid-December . Maltatripper's identified G-CELD has spent the longest time of all the Jet2s on the field and is currently on jacks/pallets in an advanced state of disassembly. The other three on the Belfast line all h...
