Re: Bruntingthorpe Super Guppy F-BGTV doomed
What a shame, spent some time on a visit to Bruntingthorpe talking to some guys working on her but sadly the Guppy doesnt have the mass appeal of some other more attractive and shiney projects. The whole Bruntingthorpe thing just feels like it could have been handled a lot better, though in the curr...

Re: Help
There are a lot of scanner users over on the sister site Fighter Control. Also they have a dedicated radio section. May be worth logging in on there. Cheers Trevor I agree, I made a homemade aerial from the radio section on Fighter Control that is in my loft and has massively extended range and rec...

Re: Hi There
Welcome to the group hope you enjoy. I too have fond memories of my grandparents taking me to airfields as a kid and I am also a birder (though very amateur, I can tell he difference for the easy species but panic when I come across a warbler (I believe its all about there song)).

Stopped in while driving by and found
G-ERMO ARV Super 2
G-CDAC EV97
G-CBWJ Thruster
All sat on ground, but with the runway being mown, airfield usually being inactive during the week and Caister Castle car museum being my destination I moved on.

Re: Serial request 1/7/14 (Yellow rig helicopter)
I knew the new SAR helos are being based, but didn't put that together with the new hangar.
Thanks for helping and sharing a bit of knowledge.

Re: Serial request 1/7/14 (Yellow rig helicopter)
Thank you very much, another new helicopter operator, guess they will be needing the new hangar that they are building on the airfield. I wasn't far off, read it as OO-MNG. Thanks again.

Serial request 1/7/14 (Yellow rig helicopter)
Hi guys Looking for help, had a great day at Humberside watching the comings and goings but it was one of those days. Made two visits, one AM and one PM, on the first visit just missed a 100Sqd Hawk blow through and there was an Orange/Yellow S-76 or similar with a light grey serial which was oblite...

Re: What a waste
How about this to pull the punters in Hull/Grimsby airport sounds like a thing of beauty!! Fact is if demand was there the airlines would be too, no catchment area and very little money in the area means that this is the situation. I think its good that the airport is there bringing jobs to the area...
