Re: Concorde 01 G-AXDN

very nice memories Neil thanks for sharing them. That must have been an exciting time to work in our aviation industry.
I visited the Bristol museum in November 2017 and it's an excellent collection and the Concorde display is very well put together

Andy, we could each chip-in a few quid and get Dan a red BIC biro, a 6" ruler and the 2020 edition of CAM - what do you reckon?
those were the days! CAM was the annual plane spotter's bible in the 60s and 70s. I don't think they even did military ones until much later did they?

Re: Stansted 01-07-2020

thanks Dan, glad i went this morning - it was hissing down here in Rayne about the time it departed and yes a mod for the nose gear on the cargo versions. 'Civvies are generally not my thing ' - not yet but you wait, we'll soon have you chasing and drooling over them if you loiter on here long! :lol...

Stansted 01-07-2020

a nice start to the month this morning as another Il.76 arrived for a cargo mission, RA-76511 this time. We seem to be spoilt in the last 10 days with RA-76951 also visiting 3 times for cargo runs to China, long may they continue. There was also a Turkish Cargo A.330 and Cargolux B.747-8F arrived al...

Re: Old Warden 24-06-2020

the show on the 18th will be different, a drive in show - a bit like a 3D movie but without the popping of popcorn! A fairly conservative line up (all their own aircraft I think) but I suppose they are being cautious first time out this year. An evening Shuttleworth show on a fine summer evening (fi...

Re: USS Intrepid Museum & Concorde Visit

very good - it's interesting to see how it's preserved there. I've only ever seen exterior photos previously so good to see the inside. I was in NYC in Sept 2014 and saw it and the Intrepid from our tour bus and it looked quite an impressive collection.

thanks for posting it
