I’m looking into a trip to the keiv area latter this year, i haven’t found what Police/Security are like with spotters/Photography, if anyone that has been over in the last year,I would hate to waste a trip/get arrested

By all accounts (and looking on google maps) the museum there has some absolute beasts.
Worth a trip for that but I'm afraid I can't help on the spotting front.

Tony- Have a look on the North West Air News Pro-boards forum on the Even Further Afield overseas- there is in that section about half way down a report on the Kiev State Aviation Museum, lots of goodies listed, and very cheap and directions how to get there. Have not copied and pasted the occupants of same. Hope this helps.

Me again- looking through my Bob Ogdens Air Britain Aviation Museums of Europe are the following other venues in Kiev:-
Antonov OKB Museum - Prior Permission only - e-mail info@antonov.com
Armed Forces Academy- Prior permission only- 4 aircraft in grounds Mig23, 27, 29 and a Mil24
National Aviation University Collection- Prior Permission Only- E-mail post@nau.edu.ua
National Museum of the Great Patriotic War- Open TUE-SUN 10:00-17:00
Plus the State Aviation Museum mentiond in my previous post. Open Wed-SUN 10:00 19:00 Located at the Zhuliany Airport.
Hope this helps- don't know how up to date the info re the other Museums are.
