Not sure if any Sherlocks out there can help with this one, but my Dad in Northern California saw what he believes was a 747 with a dark green underfuselage passing North to South at 1:30pm his time on Friday 17/3 (so 9:30pm our time). He lives about 30 miles inland from San Francisco and saw the aircraft, which was at high altitude, from his back garden. Certainly wouldn't have been an incomer for SFO/OAK, so the obvious next candidate would be LAX. Can anyone throw any light on this one? Any help would be appreciated by me and him!

B744 N344KD was routing ANC-LAX at around that time as WGN4430, however that's all white?

Thanks for the reply and info therein, Martin. I think I'll have to question the old man a bit further on this one.
Thanks again,

Green belly B747 made me think of EVA AIR Taiwan.
FR24 had a B747 flight EVA662 go over San Francisco to LAX around that time.
Pete.

Thanks for the info, Pete. I found a site listing all the arrivals at LAX in one-hour blocks, and looking at those landing through about 3pm on 17/3 I saw reference to an EVA Air flight coming down from Anchorage, which I think may be the same one you are referring to. I would think it the most likely one to tie in with the reference to the a/c having a green belly.LondonEye wrote:Green belly B747 made me think of EVA AIR Taiwan.
