Any suggestions for free email applications chaps for my laptop (or where to get a free/cheap copy of Outlook 2013 - I don't need Word, Excel or that Powerpoint nonsense !)?
I've been using Windows Live Mail for a few years and it's absolute garbage now and since I installed it on my new W10 laptop I can't use the calendar (it just won't load) or add other email accounts. When I try to add my gmail account it tells me that the email address or password is incorrect - but they aren't as I can access my gmail account by using exactly the same credentials to log in via Google.
I've sent test messages from my normal account to my gmail account (and vice versa) and all are received OK.
Any ideas?

Re: Which email application does everyone use?
Probably the most popular free Windows mail application these days is Mozilla Thunderbird (https://www.mozilla.org/en-GB/thunderbird/). I've been using it for 12 years and love it. It had calendar functionality added a few years ago.

Thunderbird is a good choice - a LOT better than Windows Live.

I really don't know why I didn't ask the same question years ago !
I've installed Thunderbird, imported all of my important emails to it, moved them into folders and Bob's your Uncle !
Fantastic and may Windows Live Mail rot in hell - it is truly awful, and a couple of decades behind.
Thank you so much guys.
