Another Real Time Flight Tracker
http://www.radarvirtuel.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
This one you can pick your area using the "Direct Map Link" at the top right.
You can also choose labels from the drop down menu top right.
I find it very useful for over Scotland.

Only one problem with it, it doesn't show DSA and as I live 4 miles from 2 0 threshhold would like that on.

No time lag that I've detected. There is a delayed view button on the top left of the screen which seems to put a 5 to 10 minute delay on it.

I'm just wondering if it's legal if there's no delay on it ? I heard AZA628 go over a few minutes ago at exactly the time it was on the screen !
That's a great find,by the way
p.s.I see the Caledonian Canal's been moved

They probably moved the canal in case of invasion! Wait for all the road signs to change to OXO.
I noticed recently that all the radar boxes removed the 5 minute delay in response to this new Aurora Eurotech box coming out in January. They were broadcasting that their's was the only real time box. Everyone else immediately responded.
It's a useful site all the same. You still need a radio for the military transits on the airways though.

Re: Another Real Time Flight Tracker
My pleasure. I found this link courtesy of Scotavnet on Yahoo Groups.
As a further link, when you have the aircraft code, by clicking on the aircraft symbol, you can get it's registration from http://www.gatwickaviationsociety.org.u ... lookup.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
or you can look up the callsign at http://www.acarsd.org/acars_search.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
But you have to use the 2 letter IATA code for the airline. If you're unsure of the 2 letter code, just type in the numbers of the callsign, but use the % sign instead of the 2 letters and zeroes to pad it out to 6 characters in the box, ie AFR006 would be %%0006.
Don't take the registration as gospel, though. As we've found with military, not all the codes tie-up exactly. It's only as accurate as the database allows. It's still better than nothing for those of us that can't afford the boxes.
