Well ONE person said they would like to read more.

This job was quite simple (to start with), just deliver an exhibition stand to the Hall De Festivals , Cannes, by 09.00 Monday morning.
Just a phone number for the man it was for. , Crazy because to deliver to the exhibition hall you have to have a name, phone number, stand number , car park pass & passport !( to leave with security !),then being French they MIGHT let you in if you can find somewhere to park :???: But they assured me all would be well, then they added a 2nd delivery before 09.00 for Monday, so I thought with an exhibition on this is gonna be a nightmare especially as the 2nd delivery 'looked like' a restauraunt's name.
I set off on Saturday tea-time made Reims Prunay by daylight. This unidentifyable Nord was all there was to be seen.

Still had plenty of time so Vatry was next. UR82027 , TC MND , Z ALT , Z ALS , Z ARL , N8KL , D ESCS (and 747 wreck posted before)

Into town bright & early phoned the 'restauraunt' which seemed to also have a duff address & they had merely left off the word Boulevard when typing it. :o It turned out to be THE old money hotel right on the seafront by the exhibition centre ! Having delivered I phoned the English guy to deliver the exhibition stand. He answered straight away :o asked where I was, so I told him, he said wait there I'll be with you in 10 minutes and he was ! RESULT !
That was it , all done I was free to saunter off & it was only 08.15. So I drove along to Nice to Promenade Des Anglais, alongside which is the bizjet apron. Found a parking place, not great but 'A PLACE' crossed the road & logged what I could through the green mesh fence.

'Il Marmo', I found the road ( lane) and drove up and down a couple of times, checked out a restauraunt car park/track, set off along the lane again, got as far as I thought would do turned into a farm track to turn round and spotted this sign.........

Image

Don't think they wanted to be found !, Went in checked & yes the marble was ready, so got the paperwork from a very desirable young lady :Wow: , asked if she would like to move to England & marry an old man, but she said no very graciously  .
As I had relaxed for a few days, I thought I would do an all nighter and get a chunk of the journey done. So off I set , got to Aix , stopped had an hours sleep, made an expresso and looked in at the airfield, Les Milles.

Off across the border into Spain, got stuck in monster rush hour traffic jam as I was approaching Barcelona, so went straight to an hotel.
ready to deliver by 08.00 next morning.
Up and away early (good job too) as the Italians had given me an incorrect address, took me into the 'Soho' of Barcelona, not Jimmy Choo territory at all !, Half an hour of phone calls got me the manageress of the shop & she directed me in !
They had 2 guys there to do the unloading which suited me as I would be the one to drop & smash a piece, so I watched..
A further hour and I was away, on the way to the ring road, I saw a sign for the heliport so I diverted. EMPTY.
So I continued to my intended destination of Sabadell, I prefer lightplanes so didn't go to Barcelona Airport.
When I arrived it seemed very busy, and indeed it was, because it was the day the fire sevice open up their doors & people can go see what they do. They also get as many aircraft up as possible too.
( I have posted a good few helo pics from Sabadell already)
