Nice one Mike , the "African Queen" at her best
I nearly went to Accra on her one day whilst working in BA's Contract Handling Unit out of T3 .....checking for the last pax to board , unbeknown to me he had boarded while I was down the back ....we pushed back , and were on our way ,,,,,a quick circuit of the teminals and we were back on stand !!!! Quite relieved I was
Cheers

That's nothing, Paul - I was working for THF Airport Services from building 472 (on the North side) at the time , we were still sorting out the catering at the back one day (the hi-lift was parked well away from the aircraft) when push-back began.
The words "ferret" and "drain-pipe" come to mind.
Then there's the El Al 747 story - just love those AK47s.
...and going down in the lift to the forward galley in a Saudi Tristar............!

thanks for posting it,

I've very nearly walked out into space on many BA Tridents, Monarch 720s, Dan Air Comets and BCAL 1-11s - I have no idea how I've managed to got this far in life !andygolfer wrote:at least you didn't walk straight out of the back door Mike!

Talking about the downstairs galley in a Tristar, has anyone else been there?

no but I bet you have a story to tell about it so go on but maybe without taking Paul's topic too far off track - maybe a new topic called 'Mike's life of aviation adventures'Mike wrote:Talking about the downstairs galley in a Tristar, has anyone else been there?
