I commissioned this model of de Havilland DH.114 Heron 1B G-AOZM as flown by Dan-Air (London) in the mid 1960's. The original 'ZM' (c/n 14002) operated out of my local grass airfield at Plymouth Roborough which included services to London Gatwick. After service with Dan-Air 'ZM' was exported to Italy flying as I-AOZM then to Israel as 4X-ARK before returning to the UK once again as G-AOZM serving with Channel Airways until being withdrawn from use and scrapped by Staravia at Lasham in 1972.
