Can any one advise of the good viewing areas to monitor the helicopters
is there a cafe nearby? sheltered viewing.
are there any web sites showing air field ramp diagram with viewing/photographic places

Hi there, I've never seen any spotting/photo maps/diagrams for Yeovil, however the movements are posted regularly over on FighterControl (as most movements are military helicopters), maybe you'd be best asking there. They have a dedicated section for Yeovil and Yeovilton in the Southwest airfields section.

No map but if you use the information and plot it against a Google Earth/road map you can't go wrong. Went down in March and information it contains is enough to find over looking spots.
