Airfield address:
Enstone Aerodrome Church Enstone Oxfordshire OX7 4NS
enstone os plan by Andrew Goldsmith, on Flickr
Location:
Enstone village is 14miles NW of Oxford and 5 miles SE of Chipping Norton and the airfield is about ½ mile from the village on the B4022. There are signs to the airfield business park from the A44 but the business park entrance is on the B4030 not the B4022 so ensure you take the latter road at the cross roads just east of Enstone village.
SatNav OX7 4NS should take you to the flying club entrance

On entering the airfield the google earth image shows the route in red to the flying clubs. Enstone Flying Club is located closer to the gate with a new hangar marked 1 on the image and the Oxfordshire Sportflying Club and Enstone microlights are located at the clubhouse at location 2
this PDF on their website should also help: http://www.enstoneaerodrome.co.uk/Airfield_plan.pdf
Stagecoach buses (no S3) operate along the A44 which is about 1 ¼ miles from the airfield entrance
Airfield information:
ICAO code EGTN
contact radio frequency (air/ground): 129.875
The airfield has a tarmac main runway 08/26 1100 meters long with a parallel grass strip "south side grass" of 800 meters

Spotting / photography
The first stop when visiting is the club house at 2 where you should ask for permission to look round, they are very friendly and I was allowed access onto the aircraft areas during my visit but was told not to go into any hangars without permission. Some were closed up but wherever I asked I was given access. There is also a small café at the club house although it wasn’t manned when I called on a weekday.
There are some new hangars opposite the club house not visible on google earth, these were closed at the time so I’ve no idea of the contents.
The garden area in front of the clubhouse as well as the grass aircraft park gives good views of the runway as well with the 26 threshold level with the parking area so good pics of landing aircraft are possible.
As a matter of courtesy please remember to call back at the club house to say ‘thank you’ before leaving, you will help maintain access for future visiting enthusiasts
a few photos as examples of what angles are possible:

I also called at the Enstone Flying Club (1 on the plan) but that was closed and I could not find anybody to ask but they are a separate entity and as such you need to ask them separately from the clubhouse (eastern) end. There is a new hangar at this location which was closed and I could see a couple of tails outside but I couldn’t see enough to get i.d.s without encroaching on their land without permission.

hope this is helpful, if you have any useful additional information please add it as a reply, thank you
