Old Warden season premiere, 6-5-2018. 'RAF 100'

a superb start to the airshow season last Sunday as Old Warden sold out this event. Wall to wall sun (or should that be horizon to horizon?)made regular top ups of suntan lotion a necessity but nice to need it. A great cross section of aircraft from the oldest flying British built aircraft (Blackburn monoplane type D) to the Typhoon - only the latter set off car alarms though! Here's a selection and I've done them in order from oldest to youngest (approximately) rather than display order:
starting wth the Blackburn monoplane (the weather was perfect for the Edwardians and it's always a treat to see them fly)

Excellent set. You certainly can get up close to the action at Old Warden.
I particularly like the repaint on the Anson. Will be great to see at other shows.

An excellent set of photographs, the Edwardian flying machines are great.

Everytime I see pictures from an Old Warden show it reminds me that I must get over to there for one in the near future.
