Civilian Aviation

A rather brief visit yesterday due to other commitments, I used the school to make a quick arrival and getaway but still missed first 45 minutes, just caught the tail end of the Lancaster display. I had my radio on as well and the amount of conversation surprised me, it appeared as though the formation displays were largely finalised over the air after take off - I don't normally hear that happening as much as it did yesterday , 'if you do this, I'll do that' sort of thing. What happened to DA's?
