twin piston
twin piston
This afternoon a low wing low tail twin piston engine aircraft flew over twice over Jacobstow near Bude. The aircraft appeared to have downturned wingtips as opposed to upturned wingtips seen on most air liners. The aircraft also seemed to have sensors of some sort on the wings it was hard to make out what these lumps where. Can anyone suggest a possible type is it a known special type? It was flying relatively low on both passes.

Re: twin piston
Thanks for the info .I saw G-HIJK mentioned on Fighter Control and looked on web images and it was definitely the aircraft that I saw, the inverted wingtips were sensors. Our weather must be very interesting at the mo!Thanks again.

Hi,
I guess so, but not 100% on sure on this. Know VP-FBL was around late yesterday and appeared to be doing survey work and in the same area. Also N2UK. Now see reported N431HM Dc3 is at Newquay for a few weeks, so not sure if that is also to do with this project. Maybe coincidence? But would love to see it over this way.
