LOng Term Resident - Tristar

Post by Beagles4 » Wed Jan 24, 2018 4:03 pm

Noted on way home from work today, it looks like the scrapman has started breaking up the ex Classic Airways L1011 Tristar, `looked very much like the tail section has been reemoved... wont be long before the rest will be gone

a report on the Stansted aviation Enthusiasts google group said that by 5pm this evening only the wing box section remained, the rest is metal pulp, sad to see it go but it must have been pretty rotten by now.

some pics of it a year and a bit ago (17-1-2017):

Stansted skyline won't be the same any more now!
