Help re Sikorsky flying boat

Post by The Cameraman » Fri Aug 27, 2010 7:35 pm

`Hi Guys,

I've just been told that the S-38 flying boat is/was expected on Loch Ness tonight and is scheduled to depart for Duxford tomorrow.

Can anyone confirm if the aircraft has arrived on the Loch, and if so whereabouts, as I have a 12 hour journey to get there and would hate to do so on duff gen!

Regards

Reggie

Hi Mike,

cheers buddy, you're a star.

If she ain't going to be on water then it's not worth a 750 mile round trip, I just may have to head for Duxford instead

Hi Guys,

isn't modern technology amazing!

I've just had an email from the pilot of this wonderful machine.

They're night stopping at Wick and aim to be at Inverness airport by Noon on Saturday.

They're hoping to touchdown on Loch Ness but nothing's confirmed as yet.

So if you live in the area please get up there and tell them Reggie sent you!

I'll pass on any updates as and when received.

Regards

Reggie

PS if anyone does have a chance to photograph it, could they please perform a full walkround and contact me, to aid our modelling chums on http://www.seawings.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
