If you like the D series why not the 650D? i use the 550D and get more than adequate results, both have 18MP .
these are all taken with a 550D

Re: What Canon camera???
my past cameras have been the canon 30D the 40D now both sold on, and at present i have the 50D and the 7D
if you can run to it then the 7D is an awesome camera and would work well with he lenses that you already have, if you are on a budget and are prepared to buy second hand then you can get a 40D or a 50D for a very good price
look in the for sale section on here and on fighter control for some good second hand bargains
I like the 50D and the 7D as they both have a magnesium alloy body, and the weight and build quality of the camera feels really good
a lot really depends on your budget and what you have to spend

Re: What Canon camera???
Before making any recommendation we'd really need to know more about your budget and how important video capability is.
The 7D is very well specified and can produce some excellent stuff but has a reputation for being a bit 'hard work'. I've had mine for about six months now and am only just started to get images I'm happy with after using a 1D mk2n for about six years. My 7D seems to like my 100-400 as well - although I've read elsewhere that it's a combination that can be a bit hit or miss.
You could also consider a second hand 1D mk3. More pixels doesn't always equate to better quality images and the 1D series handle superbly and produce really nice files that edit well. I really miss my mk2n.

I think you made a good choice and i am sure you will be more than happy with your new cameraBenLuck wrote:Well, after looking around and great advice on here i decided to go out and buy the 7D today and i could not be happier with it! So easy to use, even easier than my old 450D which served me well
Thanks for all the advice!
