Lufthansa 747 on 3 engines?

Hi guys, just looking through some shots from a couple of months ago and came across this. Looks like he's running on 3?

Think its the angle dude, if it was on 3 engines they wouldnt be able to maintain cruising altitude.

Looks like it's running on three - BA did Phoenix to Heathrow a few months ago on three engines, having lost the number 4 about 2 hours in to the flight, so it it possible!

Any idea on the date of the photo?

I'd say that's running on all four, look at how similar the two sets of trails are from the R/H and L/H engines on the right of the shot - it's just the angle as Charles says.

Did anyone hear about the 747 that emergency landed at Heathrow after losing two engines about a week ago? I was at EGCC at the airport hotel one evening last week and loads of people were talking about it

I used to capture hundreds of "ott" pictures each week and I think it's just the angle of the shot. If it was on 3 the trail from that side wouldn't be as wide.

Good shot though...
