it wasn't half wet! one or two breaks in the deluge but only short ones. The planewatch puddles returned after sunshine last month and not surprisingly there were only a few of us there today.

The only good thing was that the rain left a very wet runway and what do you get with a wet runway - lots of spray! so I tried my best to use the conditions to my advantage. Here we go, I'll start with the irregulars and then finish with the regulars where I practiced rain pics......

the belly lights on the older 737s made for some interesting lighting in the spray

and the strobes were quite effective too...

this one really braked hard to use the first turn off and in doing so created masses of the wet stuff!

and finally, dare I say - it almost looks christmassy! now there's an idea for POTM December 2020 - christmas lights, photos with aircraft and lights, their own or airport lights - I must make note of that!

there's quite a few more in my flickr album - is it me or is flickr slow today? https://www.flickr.com/photos/125470545 ... 220617645/

Well braved Andy, and you've made the most of it. Shame the wx was so dire for those tasty biz movements.

There was a time when bizjets were sleak and arrow like, but now they seem quite middle aged - chubby around the middle. I guess that's where they get the exceptional long range from.

A great set of pictures and worth braving the elements for, the variety at Stansted makes it worth while.

Neil
