I did get out to Manchester on Sunday 9 September but managed to forget that 23L wasn't in operation when I arrived. I walked further up the runway than I normally do and got some images from departures on 23R. Then shortly after 13:00 departures resumed on 23L and I found myself just a bit too close to the action. A lesson about better planning in there somewhere! I set my iso to auto and some of the shots were at iso 800 as the light varied considerably in the couple of hours I was there.
Here are a few of the keepers - unfortunately some are repeat aircraft from last week but from slightly different angles.

I did not alter anything on this next image - it was like a spotlight on the Saudia 787 from a small break in the cloud

Some excellent pictures there considering the light, those 330's look amazing you've captured those very well
My favorite shot though is the Saudi 787, very nicely captured with a nice surrounding setting

Thanks Euan and James. I am really enjoying my trips out to Manchester Airport and find that even poor light gives opportunity. The Saudia was a bit further away than I intended to shoot but the sun spot-lighted it so well that I couldn't resist.
