Love the pictures, the colour scheme and the rarity. :thumbs:

For me, a DC3 with turbos does not look right. Seems out of character. Much prefer old props !

Many thanks guys! :thumb: whilst I agree with the remarks about the engines, at least it's a DC-3 variant that's still flying which, without the conversion, may well have been on the scrap pile long ago!

That's a great visitor to Hurn and very well photographed.

I had a tour of the Basler factory at Oshkosh back in '97 and it was interesting to see the lengths they went to to refurbish and convert the hulks (many were previously wrecks) to a new 30 years lease of life. C-GEAJ was there at the time having been taken out of storage from AMARC and I have a photograph of it it sat wingless waiting its turn on the production line.
