2 hours at STN yesterday in a friendly farmer's field which he opened up for enthusiasts for the arrival of POTUS and his entourage, excellent location - thank you.
MY camera went all mardy on me and totally locked up just and the helicopter formation approached, button wouldn't even press, turned it off and on, battery out and in (I'd just recharged it)and then got a message ' card not accessible' took it out and put it back and it finally worked - annoying to put it mildly! ?Stil lthe ones I missed were military so you won't be too interested (a few later ones are on FC) if you are).
here we go, would have been more but to make a bad day worse I knocked the AF switch on my lens to AF (it's done it before but I've noticed in time, the Sigma slider isn't really tight enough) so some were out of focus, rescued a few of them okay......

Primera are still struggling on with this 757 on the New York run - it was only 2 hours late yesterday which must be a record. A new A.321 NEO is due in today so hopefully they will be using that instead soon

Sounds like you had a classic dose of Murphy's Law, Andy.
I had only one business meeting I couldn't move this week and you guessed it, it was on Thursday afternoon; so my plans to see the POTUS entourage were stymied at the outset.
All the best
Denis.

Those green ospreys
Can see what you mean on one or two re. The focus but I'd still be happy to get shots of all of these. For the most part they're excellent pics and you nailed the stars of the show for sure.
Air Force One is one of the last on my life list that I really want to get. One of these days!
Thanks for sharing

Re: Stansted 12-07-2018
thanks Dave- those slide switches are just too soft and I'm always accidentally knocking them to the wrong position, I check regularly to make sure thye are correct but forgot for a while. I've now resorted to a bit of white insulation tape over all of them, doesn't look good but if it solves the problem then that's fine by me.welshdan1927 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 16, 2018 3:37 pmThose green ospreys

note anyone who sees an old fart with a big black sigma lens apparently held together by white tape - it's probably me so come and say hello!
