Got home on Friday after work to find a couple of News Helicopters hovering high over my neighborhood , while filming a couple of Erickson Air Tanker MD-87's and 1 x CH-54 , and from Cal Fire there was 2 x S-2T's , 1 x OV-10A , at least 1 UH-1H and a local Contra Costa County Sheriff's Bell 407 with a Bambi Bucket buzzing around , all helping to fight a grass fire a couple miles from my house . Thankfully they got it 85% contained by 10pm . A couple of nearby developments were evacuated as the flames came very close but no buildings damaged , a couple of fire fighters had minor injuries but will be okay . Very grateful to all assets , ground and air for all their efforts . Helicopters were routing a different way and were low so only glimpsed between the houses so no shots of those .
