Bologna 16-10-2017
a few taken while I waited for my flight back to Stansted yesterday evening, all through glass (or perspex in the case of the Meridiana 737)...

shame about the reflections of the building in this one, I forgot to open the aperture to avoid the sharp line of the light not that it would have removed the shade but might have looked a bit better. I shall have to learn to use photoshop at some point!

and if only I had been at the gate a few minutes earlier I would have got this taxiing in and avoided that reflection and darkness from the window reflection, this was after the RAM 737 went, thought it was still worth posting just for the subject:
EI-GCC A.320 Ernest Airlines, Bologna 16-10-2017 6692 by Andrew Goldsmith, on Flickr
then this one was from the aircraft window as it taxied in while we waited to push back, was getting rather dark by then:

that's all I got, shouldn't have gone to the restaurant for pre flight dinner

Re: Bologna 16-10-2017
The B737 in Eastern Air Lines scheme is an interesting catch, the original Eastern Air Lines went bump before I started spotting so I never saw any of their aircraft but the scheme is quite simple but smart.

Schemes with cheatlines are so much better than the bland all white fuselage liveries that are trendy at the moment.

Have to confess that I didn't twig it as Eastern straight away but it did seem vaguely familiar, as to why they decided to emulate the Eastern scheme? - absolutely no idea (assuming that was the intention). so your 'why?' is not yet answered Keith - sorry.keithnewsome wrote:Ah ! Re: Bologna 16-10-2017
There was a new Eastern that used the logo and livery of the old Eastern. I think it was recently bought out. So I guess Meridiana have acquired or leased one of the new Eastern 737s and haven't fully painted it for some reason (won't be keeping it long, needing to rush it into service, or something).

Very nice selection Andy, never heard of Ernest before but looks a bit mad, I quite like it!
