Compton Abbas - Sat 17 June

A scorching day at Compton Abbas but with enthusiasts outnumbering aircraft by about 10:1 - i've not seen so many spotters there, even at one of their main events. It was billed as an American Aircraft Fly-In but really was just normal lunchtime trade. Nonetheless, an enjoyable afternoon at one of the UK's most scenic airfields soaking up the fine weather.

The heathaze and harsh light were unforgiving so being sensible about focal lengths and locations payed off.
