Hi
Had a day trip to Madrid on Thursday, threatened with thunderstorms but only saw rain when we got back to the uk(shock!!)
In fact it was so warm, the heat haze made photographing anything over the far side very difficult/completely pointless

Wow!
Very nice set there! Always wanted to see a Wamos 747, and you've got two there!
That Air Europa Embraer looks rather striking!
Looks like an amazing place for shots and variety, I'd be tempted to add that to my airports to visit list! Where were some of those taken, are they known spotting points?

Cheers guys
Mark,
Yeah i only realised OK-TSP was half done when i looked back at the pics!
James,
All of the Wamos 747s were sat on the apron as usual along with one A330, they dont seem to move much
Most of the shots were from the mound, which is easy to get to using the Metro (position 1 on this guide)
http://madridspotting.blogspot.co.uk/p/ ... glish.html
Most things pass by, but a lot of the Iberia A330/340 and other larger airliners land and head straight off the far runway for the far terminal, which if theres any heat haze like there was on my day makes photos pointless/crap!!!
We were the only people there, and got a visit from the Civil Guardia(and their very large assault rifles.....) who took our passports, boarding cards and details and ran various checks to see we who we said we were etc!!!! They left us alone, seemingly happy after about 10 minutes.
The rest were taken from inside the terminal or on the plane taxi-ing in or out!!
i will definitely be going back, but will do an overnight stay, as couldnt get everything i wanted in a day return!!
Cheers
