Short Lived ... Short Story ... OO-DWK former Brussels Airlines BAe146/RJ100, Registered with a leasing company from Hatfield since 4th May, arrived at Norwich on 10th May ... spent some time parked on the eastern apron and in and out of various hangars ... Removed from KLM hangar three one week later on 17th May with all engines removed ... parked on eastern apron overnight ... 10:30 next morning 18th May towed to 'Parting Out Area' (scrapping) to me ! assuming it's going to be 'Parted Out' this is a very short life for a registration ... Question ... Does an aircraft being scrapped in the UK have to be registered in the UK ??
Keith
OO-DWK shortly after arriving.
G-CKFO removed from hangar three.
Did you know that registration to Civilian Aviation is completely free and brings you lots of added features? Find out more....

Re: G-CKFO Short lived Registration ?
I would say not, there are many aircraft come from distant shores with foreign registrations to be parted out, particularly at Kemble & Bruntingthorpe, the fairly regular lists from Kemble illustrate this e.g. Martin's post on 27-4-17 here: http://www.civilianaviation.co.uk/forum ... 09&t=27905keithnewsome wrote:. Yes Andy ! As soon as I had posted that thought I realised I have photos from Bournemouth, Bruntingthorpe and Lasham etc etc all with airframes, being pated out, showing foreign registrations ...
