I set off early but not quite early enough The Orbis MD.10 was scheduled to depart at 08.00 so I decided to go for some departure shots (hopefully banking nicely) from my favourite pitch and got there at 07.42, unfortunately the MD.10 departed at 07.38 and flew right over me just before I got to my parking place. Undeterred and with a beautiful sunlit morning I hung around to try some departure pics anyway, I hadn't got one of the Etihad 777 Cargo in good light so that was reason enough - the fact that it was 2 hours late made that reason a tad wrong! here's what I got though....

But the 747 had a very shallow bank (apparently so did the MD.10 according to a friend who got there in time)
