Nigel / Nick - thanks for the comments re the first one, I was lucky to get away with that one.
I got there in the nick of time with the 747 on approach and hastily re-set the ISO (was on 128000!) but forgot to adjust the exposure compensation back to zero after having adjusted it to +1 the previous night when photographing the barn owls. Fortunately it wasn't too bright so a bit of darkening on the editing brought it back to normal. Just lucky that Silkways have a light grey top, if it had been white the highlights would have burnt it out.
Note to self - at the end of a photo session always set the camera back to an average setting to avoid really over or under exposed photos.
