Hi all.
Never been to Orly. What are the spotting and photography oppertunities. Google earth appear to show a small collection of preserved aircraft on the south side, is this publicably accessiable.
Thanks Paul

Spotting at Paris Orly
Re: Spotting at Paris Orly
Said aircraft are part of the local park, which doubles as a spotting area Other than driving in and out of the cargo/maint. areas it's all there is. In 2006 there were bloody huge (7/8ft high) fences that means you couldn't see anything from the rest of the perimeter.
Re: Spotting at Paris Orly
As I am told, there is a enclosed viewing area which I am visiting in June along with Paris CDG
Canon 90D 6DII, Canon 24-105L, Canon 100-400II L

Hi
I believe the aircraft in the Athis Mons corner of Orly are a collection.... Musee Delta....http://museedelta.free.fr/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
More than that I can't tell you. But if you have a car go round to the north side of the airport Wissous
Follow Blvd de l'Europe round to 'La Poste' pull into their service road and you can get a reasonable view especially if they are using 06/24.

Re: Spotting at Paris Orly
Hi,
I spent a day at Orly last summer.
It wasn't the busiest of airports, but there was some interesting traffic. I spent my day on the viewing terrace - it is covered by a mesh sheet so you would get wet if it was raining, but similar views could be obtained from the floor below the terrace.
Here are some of my photos:-
The entire Air Caraibes A330 fleet was present:-
along with several Corsair 747s and one A330:-
Openskies are based at Orly:-
There were plenty of aircraft from North Africa as well, including these two Jet4You 737s:-
Some more photos from my visit can be found at http://indiaecho-photography.fotopic.net/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Regards,
Neil
