Hi guys..
We've decided to go away for 10 days mid-late December to Malta and I was hoping to get some advice on spotting etc at Luqa... I understand it might not be the best time to spot there (Quiet?). But we just need a cheap break so Malta it is..
I've looked around for a spotting guide but I can't find anything, so if anyone could help that would be great!
Did you know that registration to Civilian Aviation is completely free and brings you lots of added features? Find out more....

Radleigh,
Not sure how up to date this is, as I've never been, but the site has never let me down :

Just come back from Malta.
The Planespotters report covers most of what you need.
The report re Hal Far is out of date. The Caribou is gone, but the BAC111 remains. It is at the International Safety Training Centre, which is a good walk from the Airport.
If you are on foot get the bus as far as Paci.
Ta'Qali is certainly worth a visit.
As well as the spots stated, you can also get some good pictures around the eastern end of 14/32.

Thanks guys, that was the link I was looking for but I couldn't remember at all what it was.
I will be renting a car for the 7 days, so I will have access to all the Island... Looking forward to see the dumped Bac 1-11, and I'm also hoping to get an airside tour so I can get a photo of N720JR.

Hi Radleigh,
Happy to meet up when you come out here and I'll show you around the best locations. Be aware though, MLA is about quality not quantity especially during the winter. Some days are very quiet! My Flickr page will give you an idea of what's around. https://www.flickr.com/photos/hannahsdad/page1/
Cheers
