Well the second one is easy but as for the first, l hope it was high winged otherwise you were prbably in a teeny bit of trouble

Comet 4C G-BDIX Edinburgh to Tenerife (first international flight to land after the disaster - very sobering experience when we got there and taxied in....)

I landed at Tenerife in a Dan-air 727 from Gatwick not very long after the disaster. Horrible sight, acres of burnt grass and there was still some very small bits of wreckage there........... :(

I won't depress you guys with what happened on my honeymoon in Tenerife 3 years later............

Have never been since.

Great stuff John, keep them coming. :)

British Antarctic Survey Twotter passed overhead at 2,500 feet whilst I was playing in the park in Bedford with my daughter on 29th July this year:
