my model railway progress
When I'm not taking aircraft photos or administering the forum.....
I've been working on this for about 7 months now and decided to take some more progress photos this evening, still a long way to go but starting to look like a model railway at last.

Re: my model railway progress
One of those hobbies that I always wanted to take up years ago but never got round to. Still like to see set-ups and always impressed with the workmanship and detail involved. Makes a change to see in a post. Thanks Andy - keep us informed hopefully.
Re: my model railway progress
It's coming along nicely Andy, it's something that I wanted to do years ago too - but never got round to it either.

Re: my model railway progress
getting there slowly, it's supposed to separate into 3 separate boards but that will be a right pain to do so hope SWMBO doesn't want the summer house back when we get better weather.
I built my first one in 1978 (N gauge) and broke that up and started again about 2 years later as I wanted something more portable and did a 2 section end to end N gauge instead. Then moved house and built a layout in the loft that went right round - which was fine until I moved again about 10 years later. I took up all the track and points but had to leave the scenery /baseboards as they were fixed to the rafters and didn't have time to dismantle them all. Never did build another until now and sold all the stock and bits a few years later - they guy I sold them to is still running them!

Re: my model railway progress
thanks guys, now off to an exhibition to see how it should be done.
I need an escape for a while for some light relief, my wife has insisted on a wardrobe purge and has had me going through all my hangars all morning
