RSPB Bempton cliffs, Yorkshire 5-6-2017

Panning to photograph aircraft is far easier than seabirds, if I was able to I would have got some fantastic pics of the gannets!
This is an amazing place on the Yorkshire coast near Bridlington and just north of Flamborough Head. about 250000 seabirds, mainly gannets, puffins guillimots, razorbills and kittiwakes head there every summer to nest and the vantage points provided on the cliff top make for spectacular viewing. Unfortunately it rained in varying intensities for much of the day which spoilt it a bit but it was still worthwhile. Here are some of my photos:

Wow, those are pretty stunning. The puffins are great, love the detail. Well done, Andy.

Great shots Andy - especially the behavioural ones, e.g. the various activities of the gannet pairs. Glad it worked out for you despite the rain. Actually the rain adds to some of the shots where there are droplets on the birds.
